Moonshine
moonshine- during the prohibition, men appropriately named "bootleggers" used to drive across state lines to deliver the goods. Seeing as how they were always outrunning the police, they decided to spice up their cars to make record time. After awhile it became a contest and bootleggers from all around were racing. This formed a little sub-culture we now know today as NASCAR. no prohibition-no nascar. phew. close one.
